TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

If you are planning on going to college or graduate school in the United States or Canada & do not speak English as your native language, then you probably need to prepare for TOEFL. The TOEFL iBT (internet-based test) is an entrance requirement for non-native English speakers at almost all colleges and universities in the United States & Canada. The exam measures your ability to use and understand English in an academic setting. This test is composed of 4 sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. The TOEFL iBT takes about four and a half hours to complete, & is administered on computer at pre-selected testing sites.

ADMINISTERED BY: ETS (Educational Testing Service)

VALADITY: The score is valid for 2 years.

REGISTRATION: By phone, fax or mail.

FORMS: Forms are available at USEFI (US Education Foundation in India) or they can be downloaded from the website.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PHONE / FAX REGISTRATION: Name as in the Passport, Address, Credit Card Number, Name of the Cardholder, Expiry date of the card. (The card has to be an International Card).

CENTRES: Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Trivandrum.

MODE: The TOEFL test is a computer adaptive test (CAT) in India.

NUMBER OF TESTS: Only of 1 test can be given in a calendar month.
